EG's Mens 1s last faced Nottingham University at home on November 26th.  You can watch that game back on your YouTube channel HERE but it's not pretty.  A 1:4 loss to our visitors in a speedy, dynamic display by Nottingham University suggested the return leg would be challenging - AWAY at Nottingham University.

Challenging it was, but the boys came way with three points on Saturday, showing grit and determination.  The final result was 3:4 in favour of EG with goal scorers:

- Ben Mackey - Penalty Corner

- Simon Faulkner - Penalty Stroke

- Fin Boothroyd - Opem Play

- Richard Lane - Open Play

The result puts EG in 2nd place of the Bottom 6, with Beeston, Exeter and Brooklands still to play.  The top two in the bottom six win places in the quarter finals of the England Hockey League playoffs.
